Regional Account Manager - Environmental Services (Hazardous Waste Sales Required)
Location: Tacoma, WA
Compensation: Base Salary $90,000 - $135,000 + Commission
Travel: Up to 50% (local and occasional overnight/weekend)

Our client, a leading provider in environmental and waste management solutions is seeking a Regional Account Manager to drive growth across a defined territory. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with proven experience in hazardous waste (HazWaste) sales and a strong understanding of regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expand business within assigned territory through new customer acquisition and growth of existing accounts.
  • Develop and execute regional account strategies in collaboration with sales leadership.
  • Manage full sales cycle: prospecting, proposals, contracts, renewals, and price adjustments.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Communicate regulatory compliance issues and coordinate with internal teams to resolve client needs.
  • Create and deliver impactful presentations to key prospects and customers.
  • Monitor sales performance and report on territory metrics.
  • Represent the company at regional/national industry events and professional organizations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sciences, Marketing, or related field and 3+ years of outside sales experience in outsourced services to manufacturing/industrial markets
    OR 5+ years of industry-related sales experience.
  • Minimum 5 years managing multiple accounts.
  • Deep understanding of RCRA, DOT, DEA regulations.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and required insurance coverage.

Preferred:

  • Background in environmental services or waste management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Demonstrated success in territory management and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to build relationships across C-suite, EHS, Regulatory, Procurement, and Operations functions.

This is a hybrid hunter/farmer role, ideal for someone who thrives in a consultative sales environment and is passionate about sustainability and compliance-driven solutions.
