Regional Healthcare Vertical Management, Logistics
Responsibility:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a national framework and strategic plan to position the business as a leading logistics and freight forwarding provider for the pharma & healthcare industry in the region.
- Align and execute the global pharma & healthcare vertical strategy at the national level, ensuring consistency with business's international objectives.
- Identify and capitalize on market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities within the pharma & healthcare sector.
Sales and Business Development
- Drive targeted sales activities to acquire and develop high-value, high-volume (V/A) customers within the pharma & healthcare vertical.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through proactive market research, networking, and relationship management.
- Lead and coordinate major RFQs (Request for Quotations) and inquiries, ensuring competitive and compelling proposals.
- Collaborate with global and regional sales teams to align on customer needs and deliver seamless solutions.
Operational Excellence
- Take a hands-on approach to operational implementation, ensuring smooth onboarding and execution of new business.
- Develop and implement best practices, concepts, and show-cases to guide local branches in building expertise and establishing a strong regional presence.
- Support the development of a qualified supplier base in China, ensuring compliance with pharma & healthcare industry standards.
Collaboration and Reporting
- Regularly report on business development progress, challenges, and opportunities to China management and global stakeholders.
- Foster strong collaboration with overseas counterparts and global sales teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
- Act as a key liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Customer and Industry Focus
- Build and maintain a strong network of customers, industry experts, and suppliers within the pharma & healthcare sector.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure business's solutions remain competitive and compile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
- Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong command of English (both spoken and written); Chinese native level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse cultures and geographies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management within the freight forwarding/logistics industry, preferably with multinational companies.
- At least 5 years of focused experience in the pharma & healthcare vertical, with a deep understanding of its unique requirements, regulations, and challenges.
- Proven track record in strategic sales, vertical management, and operational key account management.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade processes, customs regulations, and local compliance requirements in China
- Sales-driven mindset with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
- Customer-centric approach, with the ability to anticipate and address customer needs effectively.
- Operational awareness, with the ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
