Regional Sales Engineer
REMOTE Regional Sales Engineer needed for Metal Manufacturing Company
- East Coast - Remote
A leading Metal Manufacturing Company is looking to add a Regional Sales Engineer to serve as the technical engineering lead for their east coast sales team.
The Regional Sales Engineer will be responsible for expanding existing municipal and commercial contracts by incorporating newly developed products to existing ongoing construction projects and contracts. They will be the lead for the region in regards to answering technical questions from customers as well as the internal sales team.
The Regional Sales Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Providing technical support for the outside sales team and customers - including preparing presentations to highlight the advantages of the new product lines.
- Gain customer approval of new products within the northeast sales region and improve existing client relationships to best expand existing contracts.
- Develop strong understanding of market trends and competitors in order to generate new product/application plans and ideas.
- Lead technical aspect at trade shows, webinars, and seminars.
- Identify key decision makers in municipal/commercial organizations in order to maximize sales for the organization.
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or similar field.
- Experience in a sales/application engineering position.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of engineering principals - including fluid flow and dynamics, strength of materials, and general civil design.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans. Ability to review engineer drawings for compliance and general feasibility.
- Ability to travel - typically between 4-8 nights per month.
- Strong communication skills required - this individual will need to be able to communicate with customers, sales team, and civil engineers - so position requires strong written and verbal communication skills
