Safety Manager
Position Overview
DSJ Global is partnered with a leading Paper industrial manufacturing organization seeking a Safety Manager to lead and execute facility-wide safety initiatives. This individual will be responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing workplace risk, and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Lead safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Manage incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
- Coordinate and deliver employee safety training programs.
- Maintain OSHA-required records, documentation, and reporting.
- Lead programs including Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, PPE, Contractor Safety, and Emergency Response.
- Monitor and analyze safety metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to strengthen the site safety culture.
- Support regulatory compliance and ongoing risk reduction initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of safety experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.
- Experience conducting workplace inspections, hazard assessments, JHAs, and incident investigations.
- Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA 30, ASP, CSP, or similar certifications preferred.
