Role Summary
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain automated systems across the production environment. You will act as the subject matter expert for automation, covering PLCs, SCADA, robotics, and industrial networks, while ensuring electrical safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimise automation systems to improve efficiency and productivity
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, supporting complex problem-solving on site
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance strategies and electrical safety standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure system integration and sustainability
- Oversee timely execution of maintenance and repair activities
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control Engineering, or similar
- 3-5 years' experience in a process or manufacturing environment
- Strong expertise in Siemens Step 5/7 and industrial automation systems
- Experience delivering technical projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written)
