Senior Operations Manager
The Senior Operations Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the end-to-end operations within the facility, ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient movement of inventory to meet demand. This role leads a team of Operations Supervisors, manages daily workflow across shifts, and aligns resources to operational priorities. The Senior Operations Manager is accountable for performance metrics, drives continuous improvement, and acts as a key liaison between frontline operations and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion a culture of safety, identifying and resolving safety issues and conducting regular safety observations.
- Lead and mentor Operations Supervisors, ensuring alignment with performance goals, safety standards, and business objectives.
- Monitor daily inventory flow, adjusting labor and resources in real-time to meet production volume and customer demand.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with teams about priorities, process changes, safety matters, and operational updates.
- Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to senior leadership and corporate partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Support Managers, other shifts, and corporate teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and throughput.
- Manage HR-related concerns including attendance, pay, job changes, and workplace accommodations.
- Drive talent acquisition, onboarding, and development for Operations Supervisors and team members.
- Set expectations, provide timely feedback, and support career growth through meaningful development opportunities.
- Lead teams through organizational change, ensuring clarity, engagement, and operational continuity.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- MUST BE BILINGUAL (Spanish or Haitian Creole)
- Experience:
- 3-5 years in distribution center operations or similar environment
- Proven leadership with direct responsibility for salaried and hourly team members
- Strong background in coaching, mentoring, and leading change
- Skilled in resource management, problem-solving, and executing corporate initiatives
- Preferred: Experience within a large-scale supply chain network or corporate-led operational transformation.
