The Senior Project Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of commercial marine construction projects from initiation through final completion
- Collaborate with clients and brokers to define and refine project requirements
- Support lease and work letter reviews, focusing on construction-related provisions
- Provide hands-on management complex marine construction projects on a daily basis
- Supervise up to two internal team members (project managers or engineers) to ensure successful project execution.
- Create preliminary budgets and schedules
- Monitor and manage project performance against approved budgets, timelines, and client objectives
- Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, including design professionals, general contractors, and other client-selected partners
- Administer change orders, invoicing, tenant improvement allowance reimbursements, and project close-out procedures
The ideal Senior Project Manager candidate will have the following skillset:
- Must have project management experience in the construction of shipyard, marine, waterfront, and/or coastal infrastructure
- Prior involvement in Design-Build project delivery
- Experience with tenant improvement (TI) projects is a plus
- Proven ability to lead and manage both internal team members and external stakeholders
- High proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
- Must be self-motivated, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and consistently meeting deadlines
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal teams
