Site Materials Manager
Overview
A global engineering and project delivery firm is seeking a Site Materials Manager to oversee onsite and fabrication‑stage materials management activities. This role ensures the correct quality, quantity, and availability of materials, while driving alignment between engineering, procurement, project controls, construction, and site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own overall responsibility for onsite and fabrication material availability, ensuring effective coordination across project functions.
- Refine and implement materials management processes, including responsibility matrices, execution plans, and workflow integration.
- Review engineering, procurement, and construction plans to ensure alignment with materials requirements.
- Lead alignment sessions with project management, clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
- Oversee material identification, tracking, and automated materials management system setup.
- Support scheduling and planning initiatives; resolve prioritization challenges for onsite and offsite materials.
- Conduct ongoing reviews, lead improvements, and run regular site-home office coordination meetings.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of materials management experience.
- Extensive EPCM capital project background with strong understanding of E‑materials systems and their implementation.
- Strong technical knowledge of materials management processes and construction site requirements.
- Leadership, facilitation, and communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Upstream (engineering, procurement, suppliers) and downstream (construction site) experience; knowledge of planning, scheduling, constructability.
