Sourcing Director - OEM (Electronic Components)

The Opportunity

We are representing a well‑established OEM/ODM manufacturing group seeking a hands‑on purchasing leader to oversee procurement, material planning across multiple manufacturing sites in Asia including China.

This role is ideal for a senior manager or functional head who thrives in a lean organization, can operate both strategically and tactically, and has extensive experience building and optimizing supply chain structures within complex manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing and sourcing strategies aligned with business and customer requirements, within consumer electronics components and products.
• Lead supplier negotiations, cost‑saving initiatives, and value‑engineering programs across direct materials.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term supplier relationships to ensure cost competitiveness, quality, and supply reliability.
• Conduct regular product cost reviews, market price analysis, and price trend forecasting.
• Oversee material planning, demand alignment, and replenishment strategies
• Centralize and optimize capacity planning and production coordination across factories.
• Support factory efficiency through process improvement, automation initiatives, and lean manufacturing practices.

Job Requirements

• 15+ years of solid experience in sourcing, purchasing and material planning experience within OEM/ODM manufacturing environments.
• Strong background in electronics, industrial or similar manufacturing sectors.
• Proven experience managing multi‑factory operations in Mainland China and Southeast Asia.
• Comfortable working in a lean organization with broad responsibility and limited hierarchy.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Fluency of English and Mandarin Chinese is required.
