A global leader in transportation technology is seeking a Complete Vehicle Feature Engineer - Connected Services to help drive innovation in on-board and fleet connectivity. This role plays a critical part in defining, validating, and integrating vehicle-level connected features that exceed customer expectations and support strategic product development.
What You Will Do
You will serve as the resident expert in Connected Services at the vehicle level-translating customer needs into technical requirements, guiding system integration, and leading validation efforts to ensure optimal feature performance.
Key Responsibilities
Own the Connected Services Feature Roadmap and align with product and technical strategies.
Convert Project Wanted Positions (PWPs) and customer insights into clear, measurable engineering requirements.
Define and maintain Feature Contracts, ensuring cross-functional alignment across engineering, product planning, and brand teams.
Guide the Verification & Validation (V&V) Plan for all connected features at the vehicle level.
Support vehicle engineering in evaluating system and component designs against feature requirements.
Incorporate validation feedback and benchmarking data into test method development.
Lead DFMEA reviews and ensure test risk coverage aligns with feature criticality.
Collaborate closely with test engineers, system/component owners, and project teams to coordinate feature testing and execution.
Create detailed test work orders and drive resolution of quality issues.
Maintain and present Feature Review Reports at project gates, including objective performance evaluations.
Compare current feature performance to legacy systems and competitor benchmarks.
Actively participate in global and local engineering networks and Communities of Practice (CoP).
Qualifications
Experience in vehicle systems, feature engineering, or connected technologies.
Strong understanding of vehicle integration, system/component design, and V&V processes.
Skilled in requirements management, DFMEA, and cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to analyze risk and performance data to guide product decisions.
