Sr. Supply Chain Category Manager (Technical Services)
A natural gas distributor is looking for a Supply Chain Category Manager- Technical Services to join their team in Dallas, TX.
Work Model: Fully On-Site
Location: Dallas, TX
MUST HAVE: experience sourcing engineering, consulting, damage prevention, property surveying, operational, and GIS services.
Primary Duties
- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, including RFP/RFQ management.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance, and contract negotiations.
- Conduct market research to identify suppliers, monitor trends, and assess pricing impacts.
- Ensure procurement compliance, maintain records, and manage supplier performance.
- Drive cost savings, budget adherence, and supply chain efficiency while monitoring market factors (e.g., inflation, tariffs).
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to support business needs.
- Track procurement KPIs, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
- Resolve supplier and supply chain issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree or CPM/CPSM certification preferred.
- 5+ years of procurement experience; gas utility industry experience may be considered in lieu of procurement experience.
