Sr. Technical Maintenance Manager
We are seeking a Senior Technical Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at a high-volume food manufacturing facility. This role is a strategic leadership position focused on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across all plant maintenance functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and PPE requirements
- Provide training aligned with OSHA regulations.
- Maintain compliance with food safety and quality standards (USDA, SQF).
- Lead preventive maintenance programs and improvement projects to optimize equipment performance.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and identify capital projects.
- Mentor and develop supervisors and technicians to build a strong maintenance team.
- Monitor facility performance using operational data and systems (SAP and equipment monitoring tools).
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) to improve reliability and maximize up-time.
- Manage budgets and resources to deliver cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in maintenance leadership, including 6+ years managing teams (food/beverage preferred, but open to other industries).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Hands-on, flexible approach across shifts; proactive in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Principles.
- Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels.
