Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of industrial experience-preferably in the paper or corrugated industry-and must have reliable access to air travel (relocation not required). This is a great opportunity for an engineer eager to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic, industry-leading team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to both business and manufacturing operations.
  • Apply standard engineering methods with sound judgment, making minor adaptations as needed.
  • Support project management efforts across departments as new projects arise.
  • Contribute to the development of business and plant capital plans.
  • Offer actionable recommendations grounded in solid engineering principles.
  • Manage multiple capital and maintenance projects from planning through implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Create drawings, specifications, and instructions to clearly communicate project requirements.
  • Prioritize safety by ensuring all designs meet environmental and safety standards, including thorough hazard reviews and safe implementation practices.
  • Coordinate and oversee work with contractors and engineering teams on projects of varying scope.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Prepare reports and deliver presentations based on data analysis and findings.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in alignment services, equipment installation, or mechanical construction, with a focus on precision layout and alignment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution; other degrees may be considered with significant relevant experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time; must reside within the continental U.S. with convenient access to reliable air transportation.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an industrial paper, corrugated, design engineering, or construction services environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence, persuade, and collaborate across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with consulting engineers, utility providers, and local regulatory authorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and CAD software such as AutoCAD or equivalent.
