Role Overview
As a Strategic Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in managing the procurement of raw materials and chemical components. You'll work cross-functionally with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to ensure cost-effective, sustainable, and reliable sourcing strategies that support the company's growth and innovation goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for chemical raw materials.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor market trends, risks, and opportunities in the chemical supply landscape.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs.
- Drive cost savings, value creation, and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards in procurement processes.
- Support continuous improvement and digitisation of procurement processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in strategic procurement within the chemical or manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Knowledge of chemical markets, supply chains, and regulatory environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
