Title: Supply Chain Manager
Location: Louisiana (On-site)
Compensation: $140-160k base
Summary
Lead and optimize the plant's supply chain functions-including production planning, capacity management, and logistics-to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of products. Align planning with customer expectations, internal productivity goals, and operational excellence standards.
Responsibilities
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and safety
- Develop team capabilities through coaching, training, and performance management
- Own production and capacity planning across the plant, including pre-material sourcing
- Align production schedules with sales forecasts and customer demand
- Manage all inbound and outbound transportation activities
- Drive continuous improvement in planning, inventory management, and throughput
- Collaborate with Sales to ensure customer satisfaction and delivery performance
Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent in Logistics, Operations, or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role within a heavy manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to lead teams, solve complex problems, and drive results:
- Strong expertise in production planning, preferably in steel manufacturing
- Proficiency in SAP ERP (PP, MM, SD) and MES systems
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
