The Opportunity
We are representing a well‑established OEM/ODM manufacturing group seeking a hands‑on supply chain leader to oversee procurement, material planning, production coordination, logistics, and operations across multiple manufacturing sites in Asia including China.
This role is ideal for a senior manager or functional head who thrives in a lean organization, can operate both strategically and tactically, and has extensive experience building and optimizing supply chain structures within complex manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Operations Leadership
- Lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations including procurement, production & material control (PMC), logistics, inventory, and customer order management.
- Establish, optimize, and continuously improve supply chain frameworks, workflows, and governance structures across multiple factories.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment between sales, operations, engineering, finance, and manufacturing teams.
Procurement & Cost Management
- Develop and execute purchasing and sourcing strategies aligned with business and customer requirements.
- Lead supplier negotiations, cost‑saving initiatives, and value‑engineering programs across direct materials.
- Build and maintain strong, long‑term supplier relationships to ensure cost competitiveness, quality, and supply reliability.
- Conduct regular product cost reviews, market price analysis, and price trend forecasting.
Material Planning & Inventory Control
- Oversee material planning, demand alignment, and replenishment strategies for NPI and mass production.
- Define and manage inventory targets, buffer strategies, and working capital optimization.
- Manage regional APAC hubs, warehouses, and store operations, minimizing excess and obsolescence.
Manufacturing & Production Coordination
- Centralize and optimize capacity planning and production coordination across factories.
- Support factory efficiency through process improvement, automation initiatives, and lean manufacturing practices.
- Lead or support new factory setup or regional expansion, including supplier and logistics readiness.
Transformation & Systems
- Drive transformation projects to streamline processes, increase agility, and support future growth.
- Lead or support ERP implementation or system transitions.
- Establish KPIs, reporting structures, and annual budget controls.
Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of solid experience in supply chain, procurement, and operations within OEM/ODM manufacturing environments.
- Strong background in electronics, industrial or similar manufacturing sectors.
- Proven experience managing multi‑factory operations in Mainland China and Southeast Asia.
- Hands‑on expertise in material planning, inventory control, procurement, logistics, and supplier management is desired.
- Demonstrated success in cost reduction, process transformation, and operational restructuring.
- Comfortable working in a lean organization with broad responsibility and limited hierarchy.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and cross‑cultural communication skills.
