The Role
As a Technical Designer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging design and production, ensuring that our lifestyle apparel meets the highest standards of fit, function, and quality. You'll collaborate closely with design, development, and manufacturing teams across Asia to bring concepts to life and optimise garment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers and product developers to interpret design intent into technical specifications.
- Create and review tech packs, construction details, and measurement charts.
- Conduct fit sessions and provide actionable feedback to improve garment fit and functionality.
- Work with vendors and factories across Asia to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Troubleshoot production issues and propose technical solutions.
- Stay updated on regional market trends, consumer preferences, and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in garment technology, preferably in lifestyle or casual apparel.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and grading.
- Experience working with Asian manufacturing hubs (e.g., China, Vietnam, Bangladesh).
- Proficient in PLM systems and Adobe Illustrator.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin or other Asian languages a plus.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about product excellence.
