Technical Manager

As the Technical Department Manager, you will:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all technical inquiries, guidance, and system modifications.
  • Lead the technical team responsible for:
    • Operational reliability of installations
    • Preventive and corrective maintenance
    • Safety and HSE compliance related to machinery and buildings
    • Spare parts management and machine checklist oversight
  • Oversee all site maintenance and Facilities activities, including:
    • Cleanrooms and controlled‑environment areas
    • HVAC systems and other critical infrastructure
  • Serve as the key user of the CMMS system and ensure efficient departmental processes.
  • Manage a team consisting of technical engineers, electricians, and support staff.
  • Step in as departmental manager during the absence of the Maintenance & Facilities Manager.
  • Organise and supervise all tasks within maintenance and building management to ensure:
    • Quality standards are met
    • Work is completed on schedule
    • Procedures and internal guidelines are followed
  • Share technical expertise with the team to raise overall competency.
  • Select, coordinate, and oversee external contractors and suppliers for outsourced work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with internal procedures, work instructions, safety regulations, occupational health requirements, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Provide functional and hierarchical leadership to workshop staff and technical engineers.
  • Guide, instruct, coach, and train both new and existing employees to enhance competence and autonomy.
  • Conduct annual performance and development reviews.
  • Identify employee development needs and recommend relevant training or growth programs.
  • Oversee contractors and suppliers for outsourced technical or facilities‑related work.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or technical management.
  • 1-5 years of experience in a procurement or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of tools, machinery, and production equipment.
  • Several years of experience in a managerial or supervisory position.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch.
