Technical Service Advisor
We are seeking a Technical Product Support Specialist to join a leading manufacturer in the commercial heating and water heating industry. This individual will serve as a technical expert, providing product support and troubleshooting assistance to contractors, manufacturer representatives, service technicians, and end users.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC product professional who enjoys solving complex technical issues, supporting customers, and serving as a critical link between the field, engineering, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for boilers, water heaters, and related HVAC equipment
- Support customers, contractors, and service technicians with installation, startup, service, and maintenance-related inquiries
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, gas, venting, and controls-related issues
- Identify replacement parts and provide technical product guidance
- Review and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering documentation
- Participate in the development of technical service procedures, troubleshooting guides, and product documentation
- Conduct field visits as needed to support customers and resolve technical issues
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and product development teams to communicate field feedback and drive continuous product improvements
- Assist with product launches, technical training programs, and service-related initiatives
- Support building automation and controls integration discussions when required
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience within HVAC, boiler, water heating, or related mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience supporting or servicing commercial HVAC, boiler, or hydronic heating equipment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and engineering specifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) or Building Automation Systems (BAS) is highly desirable
- Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, or similar communication protocols is a plus
