Position Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on Vehicle Harness Engineering Manager responsible for the full lifecycle of power and signal distribution systems-from concept through production. This role owns engineering requirements, technical specifications, schematics, and documentation for vehicle harness systems.

The ideal candidate has expertise in mechanical integration, fabrication, and assembly of wiring harnesses. The role also manages one direct report.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee vehicle power and signal distribution architecture.
  • Own engineering specifications, requirements, schematics, and drawings for wiring harnesses.
  • Provide technical expertise on power, signal, data bus, and grounding strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams.
  • Work with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Develop and improve engineering tools and processes.
  • Hire, develop, and lead a harness engineering team.
  • Mentor engineers on best practices.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5-7 years hands‑on experience with vehicle harness systems.
  • 1-2 years leadership experience.
  • Experience delivering systems to production.
  • Ability to build strong cross‑functional relationships.
  • Industry experience in automotive or transportation.
  • Knowledge of high‑voltage vehicle requirements.
  • Experience with ECAD and drawing software.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Desired Skills

  • Automotive industry experience.
  • Proficiency with CAD, ECAD, and PLM tools.
  • Experience with electric vehicle systems.
