VP of Procurement
Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Procurement to lead our sourcing and procurement operations across all categories of food, beverage, packaging, and indirect spend. This executive role is critical to ensuring cost-effective, sustainable, and high-quality supply chain operations that support our growth and innovation in the food and beverage industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with company goals, focusing on cost optimization, supplier innovation, and risk mitigation.Supplier Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.Category Management:
Oversee procurement across all categories including raw ingredients, packaging, co-manufacturing, logistics, and indirect goods and services.Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing procurement team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Sustainability & Compliance:
Ensure procurement practices align with sustainability goals and regulatory requirements, including food safety, ethical sourcing, and environmental impact.Technology & Analytics:
Leverage procurement technologies and data analytics to drive insights, improve forecasting, and enhance decision-making.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with R&D, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to support product innovation, cost management, and go-to-market strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the food and beverage industry
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost savings
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, regulatory compliance, and sustainability practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa)
Preferred Attributes:
- Deep knowledge of global and domestic food supply markets
- Experience in scaling procurement operations in a high-growth environment
