Warehouse Supervisor
A leading food and beverage manufacturer is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee material handling, shipping, receiving, and inventory control. This role ensures smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in supervising warehouse teams in a fast-paced environment.
Role Overview:
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and material handling.
- Coordinate outbound and inbound shipments (TL and LTL), ensuring timely delivery and accurate routing.
- Maintain precise inventory counts for raw materials and finished goods; generate and review required reports.
- Partner with carriers and vendors to resolve delivery issues and track shipments.
- Collaborate with customer service to address shipping discrepancies and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols, including routine inspections of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Review production schedules to confirm material availability for upcoming runs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as a member of the plant management team and contribute to operational planning.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot logistics challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics supervision.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and shipping coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a dynamic manufacturing environment
