We're partnering with a leading international logistics provider seeking an Operations Specialist - Sea Freight to join their growing team in Antwerp.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end sea freight process while delivering exceptional service to customers and ensuring smooth operational execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating import and export sea freight shipments
- Managing bookings with shipping lines and carriers
- Monitoring shipment progress and resolving operational issues
- Handling shipping documentation, customs-related coordination, and compliance requirements
- Communicating with customers, suppliers, carriers, and overseas offices
- Managing freight rates, quotations, and operational costs
- Ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance within internal systems
- Proactively identifying process improvements and service enhancements
- Building strong relationships with clients and logistics partners
What We're Looking For
- Experience within Sea Freight Operations (Import, Export, or End-to-End)
- Strong knowledge of ocean freight processes and documentation
- Experience working within a freight forwarding or logistics environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team
- Fluent English; additional languages are considered a plus
- Experience with freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office
