Title: General Manager
Salary: $130 - 140k/yr + bonus potential
Company Summary: Leading North American environmental services company and one of the largest players in the waste and recycling industry.
The General Manager will be responsible for:
- Lead a high-volume solid waste collection and hauling operation with responsibility for frontline teams, drivers, dispatch, fleet, routes, and daily service execution.
- Own full P&L accountability, driving revenue growth, EBITDA, margin improvement, labor productivity, and cost control.
- Optimize route performance, fleet utilization, staffing, asset productivity, equipment uptime, and customer service levels.
- Lead and develop a large field-based workforce, including managers, supervisors, drivers, and operational support teams.
- Drive safety, compliance, and operational performance across commercial vehicle and frontline waste operations.
- Partner with commercial teams to improve customer retention, contract performance, service delivery, and organic growth.
The General Manager should have the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of leadership experience within the solid waste industry, with direct responsibility for collection/hauling operations
- Hands-on experience managing frontline hauling operations, including drivers, routes, dispatch, fleet, labor, and daily service execution.
- Proven P&L ownership with accountability for budgeting, forecasting, EBITDA, margins, and operating costs.
- Track record improving route efficiency, labor productivity, fleet utilization, safety, and customer service performance.
- Experience leading operations with a high level of daily scheduling, service execution, and asset utilization.
- Background in environmental services, transportation, logistics, or another commercial fleet-based service business strongly preferred.
