Senior Automotive - Rail & Road Operations Manager (m/f/d)
The Opportunity
Our client, a leading global logistics provider, is investing heavily in the further development of its Automotive and Rail logistics capabilities. As automotive supply chains continue to shift towards more sustainable transportation solutions, rail transport is becoming an increasingly important part of future logistics networks.
To support this growth, we are seeking an experienced Automotive and Rail specialist who will play a key role in developing, implementing, and optimizing transport solutions across the network.
This is a highly visible individual contributor position with significant influence on business development, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Automotive Rail & Road transportation solutions.
- Support branches and operational teams with the rollout of new business and customer projects.
- Design, calculate, and implement transport concepts and operational solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert for rail-related logistics activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Automotive transportation operations.
- Ensure successful implementation of new customer requirements and business opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with customers, operations teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Support the ongoing development and growth of the Automotive and Rail business segment.
Your Profile
- Strong experience within Automotive Logistics.
- Proven expertise in Rail Freight operations and transportation solutions.
- Solid understanding of Road Freight and multimodal transport operations.
- Experience implementing new logistics solutions, customer onboarding projects, or operational change initiatives.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to evaluate and develop business opportunities.
- Fluent German and English.
