Buyer/Planner

The Planner/Buyer is responsible for forecasting product demand, managing purchase orders, coordinating international imports, and ensuring timely delivery of goods into the USA and Canada. The role also includes ordering MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies and collaborating with internal departments to resolve supply chain issues. This position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Essential Job Functions:

Forecasting and Analysis

  • Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast product demand
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts to optimize inventory
  • Utilize forecasting tools and software to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Upload customer forecasts into the planning system

Purchase Order Management

  • Generate and place purchase orders based on forecasts and inventory levels
  • Monitor open POs to ensure timely delivery and resolve discrepancies

Supplier Communication and Management

  • Communicate regularly with internal and external suppliers
  • Address and resolve supplier-related issues promptly

Import and Export Coordination

  • Manage importation of goods into the USA and Canada in compliance with regulations
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners
  • Oversee documentation for import/export activities

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Work with Sales and Operations to resolve issues
  • Provide updates on inventory, delivery schedules, and supply chain disruptions
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to align business goals

MRO Supplies Ordering

  • Identify and order MRO supplies to support operations
  • Maintain accurate records of MRO inventory and usage
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for timely replenishment\
