Director of Quality
We are partnered with a leading manufacturer in the aerospace sector, known for its commitment to precision, compliance, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a Director of Quality to support our team in the US. This individual will provide strategic leadership for the site's Quality function, overseeing Quality Assurance and Quality Control operations over two locations. The Director of Quality will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure product compliance, uphold regulatory certifications, and drive long-term improvements in quality systems, operational performance, and organizational capability.
The Director of Quality will be responsible for:
- Leading and developing the site's Quality team to support strategic and operational goals.
- Overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensuring product and service compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Managing internal audits, customer audits, and third-party compliance assessments.
- Monitoring key performance indicators to evaluate and enhance quality effectiveness.
- Driving root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Supporting design and production readiness reviews to integrate quality standards.
- Supervising inspection activities across receiving, in-process, and final stages.
- Maintaining calibration and functionality of all quality inspection equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with industry certifications such as AS9100 and NADCAP.
The Director of Quality will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive background in aerospace quality systems, including AS9100 and FAA PMA/Repair Station standards.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
- Preferred certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Manager of Quality.
- Experience in electro-mechanical product environments and leading technical teams.
