Salary: $175,000 - $225,000k/yr

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a food manufacturing organization operating a high-volume, highly automated production facility within a regulated environment. The organization is looking to add a Director of Manufacturing Operations to its leadership team at a key manufacturing site in the Atlanta area. This individual will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, developing leadership capability, and ensuring strong safety and performance standards across manufacturing systems.
The Director of Manufacturing Operations will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic and operational leadership for production and maintenance functions across a large, complex manufacturing operation
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a multi-layer leadership team, including managers and frontline leaders, with a strong focus on accountability and performance
- Setting operational priorities, labor strategies, and execution plans to ensure production, safety, and quality objectives are achieved
- Owning departmental financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and operational efficiency initiatives
- Partnering with cross-functional leaders across Quality, Food Safety, Engineering, and HR to drive site-level performance and compliance
- Identifying and executing opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize labor and equipment utilization
- Reviewing operational performance data to assess trends, mitigate risk, and implement corrective actions
- Championing a culture of safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement
- Preparing and presenting operational updates, investment justifications, and improvement initiatives to senior site and enterprise leadership
The Director of Manufacturing Operations should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and operational experience
- 10+ years of progressive manufacturing or operations experience, including senior leadership responsibility in large, multi-shift environments
- Proven success within food or consumer packaged goods manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated experience leading leaders and influencing cross-functional stakeholders at a senior level
- Strong working knowledge of FDA and/or USDA-regulated manufacturing environments
- Solid business and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate costs, KPIs, and operational performance
- Executive-level communication skills with the ability to engage frontline teams and senior leadership
