EHS Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in EHS, including at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment, and a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Health and Safety, or a related field. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Lead incident investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate with management to integrate EHS considerations into operational decisions.
  • Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all documentation related to EHS is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Manage emergency response plans and coordinate drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Stay current with changes in EHS regulations and best practices.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage EHS programs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
