The Global Supply Management function plays a critical role-optimising costs, enhancing value delivery and ensuring the business sources cutting‑edge solutions that power long-term growth.
The Opportunity
As Global Category Manager - Technology, Data, Digital & Innovation (TDDI), you will take ownership of a high‑value, high‑visibility global category of approximately €400M. You will design and deliver category strategies covering a range of subcategories including:
- Hardware
- Telecoms & Networks
- End‑user computing (e.g., O365 ecosystem)
- Transversal digital solutions and emerging tech
This is a rare opportunity to influence global strategy, strengthen supplier partnerships, and lead mission‑critical procurement initiatives that directly enable the organisation's digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Drive global category strategy, partnering closely with Tech, Data & Digital leadership to understand requirements, anticipate demand, and shape sourcing direction.
- Lead major sourcing initiatives (RFI/RFP), contract negotiations and renewals to secure best‑in‑market commercial terms while ensuring compliance.
- Manage a global ecosystem of stakeholders across regions, functions, finance, legal, and business owners.
- Monitor supplier markets, identifying innovations, emerging players, and opportunities that can unlock future value.
- Establish and implement global category plans, delivering cost optimisation, value creation and improved service levels.
- Oversee global contract governance, including commercial terms, SLAs, and risk management in collaboration with Legal.
- Deliver against annual procurement targets, continuously improving process efficiency, performance, and supplier outcomes.
What You Bring
- Significant experience in IT procurement or technology category management
- Proven ability to design and execute global category strategies
- Strong experience negotiating and managing complex international contracts
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a strong commercial mindset
- Ability to operate in a matrixed, multicultural organisation
- Strong analytical capability, financial literacy and problem‑solving skills
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., French) are an advantage
- A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to influence cross‑functional teams
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
