A global healthcare leader is looking for a strategic and experienced Head of Master Data Governance to lead the transformation of their master data processes. As part of a major global shift to S/4HANA, this leadership role will ensure that data processes are standardized, optimized, and aligned with the organization's digital transformation goals.

You will drive the harmonization of master data processes across key domains (Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance) and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the globe to establish a sustainable governance framework. This is a critical role in supporting the company's mission of providing life-saving therapies worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global Master Data Processes: Lead the standardization and implementation of master data processes for key domains (Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance), ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Process Ownership & Community Building: Define roles and responsibilities within a collaborative process community, establishing clear accountability across departments.

  • Data Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce standardized procedures for data entry and maintenance to enhance data accuracy and reduce errors.

  • ERP & Transformation Alignment: Ensure that master data processes are fully aligned with S/4HANA requirements, supporting the ERP migration and broader digital transformation.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and enhance data quality across the organization.

  • Collaboration & Training: Foster collaboration across departments and regions, deliver training programs, and support the adoption of best practices for data governance.

  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track KPIs to measure process performance, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvements.

What We Are Looking For

Our client is looking for a strong leader with a collaborative mindset, a passion for data governance, and experience in driving large-scale transformations in complex, international environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Master Data Governance and a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in Master Data Management with expertise in SAP MDG and deep knowledge of data domains (Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance)

  • Proven experience leading SAP transformations and building cross-cultural teams in a global shared services environment

  • Strong process design, optimization, and governance skills, with the ability to implement scalable solutions

  • Extensive knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) and the ability to align data processes with technical and business requirements

  • Expertise in data governance principles, process performance metrics, and change management

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to engage diverse teams and drive adoption of new processes
