Logistics Analyst

A fast-growing consumer-focused organization is seeking a Logistics Analyst to drive cost visibility, financial performance, and operational efficiency across logistics functions. This role focuses on analyzing transportation, warehousing, and fulfillment data to identify cost drivers, support forecasting, and deliver actionable insights to leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, experience with logistics cost modeling, and a collaborative, cross-functional mindset.

Responsibilities:

Logistics Cost Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain models to analyze end-to-end logistics costs across transportation, warehousing, and fulfillment.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze cost data to identify trends, variances, and optimization opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility into logistics performance.
  • Investigate cost discrepancies and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Track logistics expenses against budgets and forecasts.

Data Management & Systems

  • Maintain accurate cost data within ERP or financial systems.
  • Ensure timely updates of freight rates, vendor charges, and related cost inputs.
  • Support improvements in data accuracy, reporting consistency, and cost visibility.

Strategic Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Support cost modeling and scenario analysis for strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize logistics spend and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with finance, procurement, and operations teams to align cost analysis with business goals.
  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance reporting, transparency, and operational performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics cost analysis, supply chain analytics, or a related function.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or similar).
  • Experience working with ERP or financial systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
