Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor leads the site's maintenance team with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. This position is responsible for driving an injury‑free work environment while aligning daily maintenance activities with the organization's PBM® philosophy and operational goals. The supervisor provides hands‑on leadership and direction to ensure all maintenance processes support improvements in EHS performance, compliance, equipment uptime, product quality, and overall production efficiency. This role is highly influential within the plant, fostering accountability, engagement, and a proactive safety culture across the team.
This position also offers a sign‑on bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the lumber mill maintenance team in a continuous‑manufacturing environment, ensuring all work aligns with PBM® principles and facility goals.
- Oversee and coordinate maintenance activities that improve EHS performance, regulatory compliance, equipment reliability, product quality, throughput, and cost control.
- Partner closely with production to optimize equipment availability and ensure maintenance strategies support overall business objectives.
- Develop and coach team members, build technical capability, support problem‑solving, and promote accountability and ownership across the department.
- Champion a proactive safety culture by encouraging hazard recognition, corrective action, and strict adherence to safety standards and procedures.
- Monitor craft work quality and provide guidance to maximize productivity and effectiveness.
- Deliver safety training, performance feedback, and ongoing employee development.
- Manage data entry, reporting, and related documentation within maintenance systems.
Basic Qualifications
- Commitment to maintaining strict compliance with all safety procedures and policies.
- Previous supervisory experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
