Compensation
$90,000 - $120,000 Base Salary + Bonus
About the Opportunity
A growing consumer products organization is seeking a Manager, Logistics & Fulfillment Operations to oversee day-to-day execution within its distribution and fulfillment network. This role serves as the primary liaison with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), ensuring exceptional service levels, inventory accuracy, transportation performance, and operational efficiency across both retail and eCommerce channels.
This position is ideal for a supply chain professional with experience in retail, eCommerce, consumer products, distribution, or fulfillment operations who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and driving continuous improvement across logistics and fulfillment functions.
Key Responsibilities
Fulfillment & Logistics Operations
- Manage the end-to-end order fulfillment process from order receipt through shipment and delivery.
- Partner closely with third-party logistics providers to ensure operational excellence across wholesale, retail, and eCommerce channels.
- Monitor order flow, shipping performance, inventory availability, and customer service metrics.
- Resolve operational issues and service failures through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve fulfillment processes, transportation efficiency, and customer experience.
Inventory Management & Data Integrity
- Oversee inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting across multiple systems.
- Ensure inventory records remain accurate within ERP, WMS, and fulfillment platforms.
- Lead monthly inventory reviews and annual physical inventory processes.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies while maintaining strong audit compliance.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards and KPI reporting.
3PL & Transportation Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse and logistics partners.
- Monitor fulfillment, transportation, and warehouse performance against established service level expectations.
- Review operational performance metrics including order accuracy, fill rate, cycle time, and on-time delivery.
- Drive accountability and continuous improvement initiatives with external partners.
Vendor Compliance & Customer Requirements
- Review customer routing guides and compliance requirements.
- Support onboarding of new customers and operational programs.
- Investigate chargebacks and compliance violations, coordinating corrective actions with logistics partners.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to customer and operational requirements.
Financial & Operational Reporting
- Review and reconcile warehouse and logistics invoices for accuracy and contractual compliance.
- Analyze operational performance data and communicate insights to leadership.
- Develop reporting tools and dashboards that support business decision-making and operational visibility.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, distribution, or operations management.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers and fulfillment operations.
- Strong knowledge of ERP, WMS, EDI, and order management systems.
- Experience supporting retail, consumer products, eCommerce, distribution, or fulfillment environments.
- Advanced analytical capabilities with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
- Strong proficiency with spreadsheets, reporting tools, and operational performance metrics.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
Preferred Background
- Retail, eCommerce, consumer products, apparel, distribution, or fulfillment industry experience.
- Experience supporting both wholesale and direct-to-consumer fulfillment operations.
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization platforms.
- Experience managing inventory controls, chargebacks, and transportation compliance programs.
