Manager Pricing
Position Summary:
A leading logistics organization is seeking a skilled Manager of Pricing to join its Freight Forwarding division. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep experience in pricing, vendor management, and freight operations-particularly in handling Out-of-Gauge (OOG) and heavy lift cargo. The Manager will lead the U.S. Pricing Team, overseeing the full proposal lifecycle and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop competitive and profitable transport solutions. This position plays a key role in shaping pricing strategy, driving procurement, and ensuring compliance across all proposal activities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and structure the Freight Forwarding Pricing Team across the U.S.
- Manage the full proposal lifecycle including quotations, bids, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Gather market data and competitive feedback to inform pricing strategies.
- Provide budgetary estimates and execution strategies for OOG and heavy lift cargo.
- Collaborate with product and sales teams to develop transport methodologies for complex project moves.
- Develop and maintain pricing matrices, databases, and customer-specific pricing models.
- Analyze cost and profitability data to recommend pricing adjustments.
- Drive procurement and vendor management, including negotiations and relationship building.
- Ensure proposal processes comply with corporate, regional, and departmental policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Ability to interpret financial reports and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative approach.
