Plant Manager (m/w/d)
We are a looking for a manufacturer of high-quality building materials a Plant Manager. The site in Hungary is the only production facility in the country and focuses on high-volume manufacturing of standard products. The primary goal is to continuously optimize volume and cost while maintaining high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full operational responsibility for the plant with approximately 150 employees
- Leadership and development of the following departments:
- Production
- Maintenance
- Safety
- Lean Management
- Quality Assurance
- Implementation and advancement of lean and efficiency programs
- Close collaboration with the country leadership team (Sales, HR, Finance)
- Ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are met
- Driving cost optimisation and efficiency improvements
- Preparing for a potential transition into a General Manager role
Requirements:
- Min of 10 years of experience in managing a production facility, ideally in an industrial or mid-sized company environment
- Proven leadership experience across multiple organizational levels
- Strong knowledge of modern lean and reporting tools
- Fluent in Hungarian and EnglishStrong communication skills with the ability to inspire and influence others
- Ideally from the automotive industry or similarly structured sectors
- Technical background in production, maintenance, or Toyota Production System (TPS) is a plus
- Empathetic and assertive personality with the ability to manage both upwards and downwards
- Experience in mature, structured corporate environments
