An industry leading organization in plastics manufacturing is seeking a dedicated Plant Manager to direct the manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across all departments.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee plant operations to ensure production meets quality, safety, and customer standards.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive performance and accountability.
- Manage inventory, staffing, and scheduling to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and SQF standards; maintain a clean, inspection-ready facility.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives and support process improvement efforts.
- Coordinate capital equipment recommendations, process changes, and facility upgrades.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to customer specifications and packaging standards.
- Support hiring, training, and performance evaluations to build a strong, capable workforce.
Leadership & Skills:
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams toward continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience developing training programs for exempt and non-exempt staff.
- Ability to foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on shared goals.
- Skilled in using data and investigation to support decision-making.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Lean certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Kaizen, inventory management, scheduling, and budgeting.
- HACCP and SQF certification preferred.
- Demonstrates safety-first leadership and commitment to regulatory compliance.
Education & Industry Knowledge:
- 10+ years of production leadership experience, including at least 2 years in plant management.
- Experience with blow molding or injection molding is required.
- Associate or Bachelor degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
