Procurement Manager

A leading industrial organization is seeking a Procurement Manager to support regional operations through effective sourcing, supplier management, and contract execution. This role partners closely with category leadership and internal stakeholders to implement procurement strategies that drive value, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings hands-on procurement experience, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy & Execution

  • Implement procurement strategies in partnership with category leadership to support business objectives.
  • Translate category strategies into actionable local sourcing and procurement plans.
  • Manage the operational and tactical procurement of goods and services to meet cost, quality, and service expectations.
  • Oversee contract implementation and ensure alignment with corporate policies and compliance standards.

Supplier Management & Sourcing

  • Lead local supplier sourcing, negotiation, qualification, and onboarding activities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and communicate results to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Strengthen the supplier base through proactive engagement and performance management.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with internal partners to understand operational needs and ensure procurement alignment.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and ensure sourcing activities enable business priorities.

Cost Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to optimize spend, reduce risk, and improve procurement processes.
  • Utilize procurement tools and methodologies such as benchmarking, cost modeling, sourcing platforms, and project management tools to deliver savings.
  • Track procurement performance using established KPIs and report results to operational and leadership teams.
  • Champion procurement best practices to enhance overall organizational capability.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to and promote health, safety, and environmental policies across all work environments.
  • Support a culture of safety and compliance through consistent behaviors and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management.
  • Exposure to supply chain operations, strategic sourcing, and procurement standards.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and common business tools.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus.

Travel: Approximately 5% as needed.
