Overview

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for leading strategic sales growth, market expansion, and overall business performance across a multi‑state territory. This role sets the regional vision, drives execution of growth strategies, and ensures high‑value customer engagement across all filtration product lines and services.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Regional Growth

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional strategy designed to expand market share, increase revenue, and strengthen profitability across all product lines.
  • Identify and secure high‑value new business opportunities, particularly those with complex or large‑scale filtration needs.
  • Lead regional business planning, including territory segmentation, pipeline prioritization, and multi‑year forecasting.

Sales Execution & Business Development

  • Drive sales penetration across all filtration offerings using consultative, technical, and value‑based selling approaches.
  • Expand existing key accounts by identifying new applications, solutions, and value‑engineering opportunities.
  • Oversee creation of proposals, pricing strategies, presentations, and tailored operational solutions.

Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and support to sales personnel and internal partners within the region.
  • Coordinate closely with marketing, operations, customer service, and technical teams to support seamless customer engagement.
  • Support training and professional development initiatives to maintain strong technical proficiency across the regional team.

Operational Excellence & CRM Accountability

  • Ensure full utilization and accuracy of CRM for documentation, sales activity tracking, pipeline visibility, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Analyze automated and regional performance reports to drive decisions on territory focus, pricing, margin optimization, and strategic actions.
  • Promote adherence to all safety standards, operational guidelines, and compliance expectations.

General Qualifications

  • Strong executive‑level written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, business judgment, and strategic thinking.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
  • High mechanical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn technical concepts.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum five years of outside sales experience; regional or senior‑level leadership experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in filtration, B2B industrial sales, or technical solution‑based selling preferred.
