Reliability Engineer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Reliability Engineer to join our chemical manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of plant equipment and systems. The Reliability Engineer will lead efforts to improve asset reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance strategies using data-driven methodologies and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement reliability strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and lead corrective action initiatives.
- Perform reliability assessments using tools such as FMEA, RCM, and Weibull analysis.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to identify and resolve chronic equipment issues.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
- Manage and optimize spare parts inventory to support reliability goals.
- Lead continuous improvement projects focused on asset integrity and lifecycle cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- 5+ years of experience in reliability or maintenance engineering within a chemical or process manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles and tools.
- Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and data analysis software.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Certification in reliability (e.g., CMRP, CRE) is a plus.
- Experience with Compressors, Heat exchangers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, piping systems, hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems.
