Senior Business Development Manager
A leading defense & aerospace manufacturing company is currently seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and aligning technical capabilities with market needs. Working closely with engineers, program managers, and leadership, you'll help turn ideas into impactful solutions.
Responsibilities for the Senior Business Development Manager:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and primes across defense, aerospace, and intelligence sectors.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities, aligning with strategic growth priorities.
  • Lead or support capture and proposal efforts, collaborating with technical and management teams to develop winning strategies and solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, budgets, and competitor activity to inform business development strategy and positioning.
  • Represent the organization at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events to expand visibility and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts to support long-term planning and sales growth.
Requirements for the Senior Business Development Manager:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of business development or sales experience in defense/aerospace.
  • Strong technical understanding of RF systems and ability to engage with both engineers and customers.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, federal contract vehicles, and key customer communities.
  • Proven success in identifying and winning new business, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
  • Willing to travel up to 30%.
