About the Role
As Senior Manager, Manufacturing Quality & Food Safety, you will report to the Director of Quality and Food Safety - Americas and play a critical role in shaping and governing world-class quality systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and strategic vision to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support business growth.
You will lead quality and food safety management across two manufacturing sites, oversee supplier qualification programs, and champion a culture of excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role with significant influence over operational performance and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a robust Quality & Food Safety Management System (QFSMS) across North American sites.
- Drive measurement, analysis, and reporting of quality performance against internal standards and global KPIs.
- Lead root cause investigations, risk assessments, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Oversee third-party certification programs (e.g., GFSI, SQF) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers on qualification, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Inspire and coach QFS teams, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
- Champion training programs to empower teams and strengthen food safety awareness.
What We're Looking For
- Education: BS in Food Science or related field (MBA/MS preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years in food safety and quality, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of global food safety standards, auditing practices, and risk-based decision-making.
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and manage complex systems.
