About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Procurement Manager to lead the strategic sourcing of specialized chemical raw materials. You'll play a key role in cross-functional innovation teams, supporting new product development from concept to industrialization. This position ensures long-term, cost-effective, and compliant material supply while driving innovation and competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic procurement partner for R&D and business units.
- Identify and qualify new materials and suppliers for future innovation needs.
- Lead global technology scouting and develop sourcing strategies.
- Ensure early procurement involvement in project planning and negotiations.
- Mitigate supply and IP risks through smart contracting and supplier diversification.
- Drive supplier qualification and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Support feasibility studies and knowledge transfer across teams.
Your Profile
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Procurement, or related field.
- 7-10 years of strategic procurement experience, ideally in chemicals or raw materials.
- Strong negotiation and contract design skills, especially in IP-sensitive environments.
- Proficient in SAP and digital procurement tools.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
