Key Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure EHS Compliance & Safety: Maintain and improve Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, including executing functional safety processes like PHA, LOPA, MOC, and PSSR.
- Technical & Process Support: Provide expert support for production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and optimization of process control systems (e.g., DCS - Yokogawa).
- Collaboration & Training: Work closely with Quality and Engineering teams on chemical methods, project scopes, and facility upgrades; lead training in advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Performance & Efficiency Improvement: Analyze and enhance raw material usage, equipment efficiency (OEE), and yield performance; support KPI development and performance monitoring.
- Documentation & Compliance: Assist in creating and maintaining SOPs, prepare technical reports, and ensure adherence to corporate quality and Responsible Care 14001 standards.
- Incident Management & Risk Mitigation: Lead or support investigations of incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented to reduce future risks.
- Drives Operational Excellence by promoting LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity and efficiency across processes and operations.
- Fosters a Culture of Continuous Improvement through active participation in meetings and training sessions, offering ideas to refine systems and workflows.
- Ensures Process Optimization by executing work through structured, measurable, and evolving processes, while identifying and applying best practices across the organization.
Preferred Skillset:
- BS in chemical engineering or related
- 3+ years of engineering experience in chemical manufacturing environment
- Batch, semi-batch, or continuous processing experience
