Senior QA Officer - Apparel
My client is a global premium fashion brand with operations across the globe, HQ in US, B2B and ecommerce operations across Asia Pacific including HK, China, Aus & NZ, JP & Korea and Taiwan etc. Due to business expansion, they are looking for an expereinced Senior QA Officer for their buying office in HK which is the regional sourcing hub.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Compliance
- Involed in quality assurance processes across assigned product categories, ensuring consistent adherence to brand standards, technical specifications, and global compliance requirements.
- Implement, review, and continuously improve QA protocols, inspection guidelines, and supplier quality scorecards.
Product & Technical Expertise
- Work closely with Product Development and Sourcing teams to identify potential quality risks at development stage and propose preventive solutions.
- Conduct product testing, fit assessments, and technical evaluations to ensure durability, performance, and brand integrity.
Supplier & Factory Engagement
- Partner with regional suppliers and manufacturing partners to drive quality excellence and capability building.
- Monitor production quality through on‑site audits, pre‑production meetings, and in‑line and final inspections.
- Provide technical training and coaching to factory QA teams.
Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze quality failures and return data, identifying root causes and driving corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and optimize end‑to‑end product quality.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Textile/ Garment Technology or related discipline.
- 5-8 years of quality assurance experience in apparel, accessories of lifestyle or premium fashion brands-preferably with international brands or buying offices.
- Strong technical knowledge of textiles, garment construction, production processes, and testing standards.
- Hands-on experience managing supplier-based quality programs in Asia (e.g., China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia etc).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cultures and time zones.
- A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset with the ability to problem-solve and influence without authority.
- Good command of spoken and written English; Mandarin/Cantonese is a plus.
- Willingness to travel across the region when required.
