Sourcing Specialist

Our client is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to lead strategic initiatives aimed at reducing total landed cost, optimizing spend, and enhancing resource utilization across the supply chain. This role will be instrumental in driving sourcing events (RFQs, RFPs), supplier negotiations, and continuous improvement efforts to achieve best-in-class total cost of ownership (TCO). Success in this role requires strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills to foster collaboration with Materials, Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Manage a designated supplier portfolio, driving cost efficiencies through strategic negotiations and favorable terms to achieve optimal TCO.
  • Lead sourcing activities (RFQs, RFPs) to identify cost-saving opportunities and support new product development initiatives.
  • Maintain proactive communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations, timely deliveries, and quality compliance.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers and internal teams to assess performance and identify improvement areas.
  • Implement industry best practices to enhance supplier reliability, reduce waste, and strengthen supply chain resilience.
  • Utilize data analytics to inform sourcing strategies and improve material management processes.

Operations & Finance Support

  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Materials teams to ensure material availability and resolve supply-related challenges promptly.
  • Partner with Finance and Treasury to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures related to accounts payable and procurement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred 2 years' experience in sourcing, procurement, materials management, or supply chain operations.
  • Exposure to international trade is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MRP/ERP systems, and inventory management practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead collaboratively across functions and influence outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
