Currently, DSJ Global is partnered with a leading automotive manufacturing organization seeking an Engineering Specialist focused on stamping operations. This role provides technical guidance and support for large-scale stamping presses and tooling modifications, while driving process improvements and collaborating closely with maintenance teams. The Engineering Specialist will lead projects, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
As the Stamping Engineer , you will:
- Oversee stamping equipment maintenance and tooling adjustments.
- Implement Engineering Change Instructions (ECIs) and lead improvement projects.
- Collaborate with vendors for materials and inventory management.
- Train and support maintenance and production teams on process improvements.
- Interpret 2D/3D CAD drawings and troubleshoot quality issues.
The Stamping Engineer should have:
- Associate degree (Bachelor's preferred) with 2+ years in stamping or maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with large stamping presses (300-600 ton).
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems;
- PLC experience (Mitsubishi preferred; Allen-Bradley or Siemens acceptable).
- Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD interpretation; fabrication skills(welding, cutting) a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
