Assistant Project Manager (R&D Projects) - Dongguan Base
My client is a HK OEM and ODM group foucsing within industrial and commercial products (Electronics) and medical devices. Due to business expansion, they are looking for experienced project engineering talents to join the team.
Job Description:
Report to the Deputy Director, practicing project management including Proof-of-Concept trials (some customers only), NPI and post-NPI sustaining coordination.
- RFQ preparation covering NRE, Tooling & unit cost. Negotiates with trade terms with customers.
- Follow up with customers, Marketing & Finance dept on PO, billing & payment expedition.
- Initiate requests for spot buy, material authorization with customers based on design / process changes, project timelines and supply situation.
- Generate purchase requests to Purchasing and tooling workshops to ensure material & tooling for NPI & initial MP are in place on time.
- Regularly reports projects including material & tooling ordering status to customers.
- Resolves any supply, quality & technical issues among internal partners, suppliers & customers to achieve smooth project run.
- Smart assessment & control of risk and expectation from both customers & company perspective.
- Lead or coach junior project engineers for the above role.
Job Requirements:
- Tertiary education in engineering such as ME, EE or IE etc
- With over 5 years practicing project management and, or ODM / OEM engineering with overseas customers in industrial electronics, and preferably in medical products.
- Familiar with general manufacturing processes in electronics products.
- Solid experience in quotation preparation, costing, changes management through serious control procedure and ERP system.
- Fluent in English and Chinese, good oral & written presentation skill and capable of independently working with customers.
