Director of Engineering
We're seeking a Director of Engineering to lead strategic initiatives across a multi-site chemical manufacturing network. This role will be pivotal in driving reliability, optimizing asset performance, and overseeing capital investments. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Reliability & Performance Leadership
- Establish and communicate reliability benchmarks across regional facilities.
- Analyze KPIs to identify performance gaps and implement corrective strategies.
- Maintain a strong on-site presence, partnering with maintenance and reliability teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Champion preventive maintenance programs and align with corporate reliability standards.
- Oversee reliability dashboards and reporting tools to guide data-driven decisions.
- Develop long-term asset strategies and annual maintenance budgets.
Engineering & Capital Execution
- Lead engineering efforts for capital projects ranging from $10M to $50M annually.
- Own project delivery from scope definition to execution, ensuring alignment with cost and timeline targets.
- Manage the capital budget and approval workflows, including CAR and TRB processes.
- Collaborate with site engineering leads to develop business cases and apply value engineering principles.
- Build engineering career pathways, including rotational programs and mentorship opportunities.
- Resolve project bottlenecks and implement escalation frameworks to maintain momentum.
- Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, EHS, Finance, and Operations to ensure holistic project planning.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including leadership roles in manufacturing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; (Chemical Engineering preferred.)
- Proven track record of leading multi-site engineering teams and capital projects.
- Strong understanding of reliability engineering and asset lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop talent and foster high-performing teams.
