EHS Manager
Our client, a leading chemical manufacturing company committed to operational excellence and regulatory compliance, is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead their site-level EHS programs. This role is critical in fostering a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and driving continuous improvement across all safety-related functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.).
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external auditors.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to integrate EHS best practices into daily operations.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a chemical or process manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable EHS regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are preferred.
